South Korea's president, Moon Jae-in visited Malaysia the week after the submission deadline for KGSP. Due to the busy schedule, the Korean embassy decided to postpone the selection process for a few days. Originally, the deadline was on 8th March and the first screening process should be during 11-15th March, while the interview was scheduled to be 18-22nd March. It was then postponed to screen the documents and announce the selected candidates latest by 21st March, and the interview was re-scheduled to 28th March.
I couldn't sleep for days, thinking about the interview. It will be over if I wasn't selected for an interview because I won't have the chance to impress them in person. I was praying so hard until the morning of 21st March. Although I was on leave that day, I woke up early and made sure my phone's signal is in good condition. I was in bed, tossing and turning from 8am to 10am. I've heard that the embassy will call early in the morning, as early as 9:30am. I was kinda sad when I haven't heard anything and it is going to be 11am soon.
I was expecting a call from the embassy and I had even saved the phone number just so I will know when the embassy calls. Around 10:51am, 9 minutes to 11am, I heard a notification in from my mailbox. I wasn't planning to touch my phone because like I said, I was expecting a call. Nevertheless, I opened my mailbox and saw this:
I was so shocked I couldn't react at all for the first 5minutes after receiving the email. I quickly screenshot it and send it to my friends and thanked those who have helped me throughout the whole preparation process. Although the tough part has just begun, I felt so grateful to even get a chance to interview by the Embassy. Luckily, the interview was scheduled almost a week away from the day I received the email (28th March), meaning I had more time to prepare for it. Thank god it wasn't scheduled on 29th March because I wouldn't be able to take leave for the interview due to my work (monthly accounts closing...yikes). So it was a huge huge huge relief for me.
I guess my next post will be how my interview went!
